Air Mail Letter

Sept 25/45

Dear Mom-
A letter of yours arrived yesterday the only one for the past nine days. I’m expecting something for me today though. No your cigs haven’t been coming through very regularly. I’ve had about six hundred from you in the past five or six months which isn’t a hell of a lot. I’ve been buying my own though so I’m doing alright as far as cigs are concerned. No one is getting many cigs from home for there is some kind of a mixup between the Can. And overseas branches. I just got back off leave yesterday all of which I spent in London. I had a fairly good time but nothing much to write home about. I’m glad Papa got home allright I’ll bet you were all glad to see him. Did you find him changed. I didn’t when I first saw him. Has Roger got his discharge yet. You didn’t say so. I still have no idea where I’ll be going from here but I still hope to be home for Xmas. Fellows are leaving here every day. There seems to be a trade priority it getting home especially carpenters who have only been over a short while. Love to everyone.
