Dear Mother

I receive the mitts today, they are just the thing I wnted cause cloves are to cold on the hands especially if you have to handle a rifle all day. We were up to the range yesterday I made a perfect target the officer said if I kept that up that I would have to go in a contest for the training centers cup.

Next Tuesday there is the opening of the parliament and there was a few of us picked for a guard of honour, the Governor General is going to inspect us, the Col. told
