June 5, 1941

Dear Bee. Just a line to say I am well. I was expectin a letter all week but it never came. Lucy wrote but never said if yous got the telegram I sent or if you got any of my letters. By air is a fast and sure way. I sent quite a few home by air. Did yous get them? I sent some news from Inverness and Edinburgh. Did yous get them? I sent the girls each a handrich like the two I am sending one for you and one for Ilean.

I got them in Scotland so they will be a sovenear for yous. Well the weather is fine here. Everything is ok. I am well. Except I have a sore arm. But I work every day. I cook for the officers now. I wrote to Bobby and James. I will wright to Bruno and Tom later. How are you getting on farming. Have you got your garden in yet? Well Bea wright and tell me all about the new baby of Rogers. Who does she look like? Lucy sent me a nice letter. Well Bee when you wright you want to number your letters start No 1 and so on so I will know if any gets lost. Nearly all the mail come here yet was by air.

It is fun to see the boys runn when the bugle calls the mail to be given out all looking for letters and parcels. They have got quite a number of parcels lately. C.B. is scarce. The priest has just come once in to say mass. We have to walk about 6 miles to mass. I am going Sunday. Our priest is from Montreal. How are the children getting along at schol. They will soon be getting theair holidays now. How is Bobby. Oh yous will listen in to the broadcast I will be saying hello over the air to yous soon. Perhaps before you get this letter. How is Alex. I wrote him a letter. Did he get it? Have you heard from Roger and how does he like his new job and how is the fellow doing that took his

his job. How is Anna getting on. Well Eddie O'Toole is fine. He is on a truck now. I see the boy every day. Byron Sargent a brother to the fellow married the Kerr girl in Youghall is workin with me. He is 21 and a nice boy. He does not like it much here but he is a bit home sick I guess. He was me to Edinburgh on our leave. Mickey Gilmore was up from england to see me. Ah yes, Hubert was with me every day on our way over. We had some good days toether. Well Mom answer soon. Send by air mail. I am anxious to here. Love to all.
