July 20, 1941

Dear Bee, Just to say I am well. My arm is getting better. But I am looken for the tablets you will send me. Well the weather is getting colder here now. The people say the summer is about over. The oats will be cut about 15 of August. It is misten rain today. Ah I wish you could see the roses now. All kinds climbing. Tea roses and all kinds of colors you can mention. Some are alongsid the houses are 6 7 feet high. Ah yet, right now thair is several of our big bomers over head. You would feel queer if you saw one they are so large. Ah yes, some of our boys are gone on thair second leave.
