Somewhair in Scotland
August 12, 1941

Dear Bee, recived your letter today. Was delighted to get the snaps of Bruno and Bobby look well in thair scout sutes. Well Hendrick looks good so does Sidney and the girls. I want you to send me a snap of the group all are in we took last when I was home. Say I am going on my leave. I am going to London I shall see Sterling. Well I was going to see Fort Augusta but I shall not go now for a reason. Ah yes, I got the box today it was swell. Ah the candy was a treat. I gave some to the children here. The poor things never get a candy here now. I gave the boys in the hut some. They are all so good to share thair things with me. Ah yes Bee, I am sending you a box of heather. It is just

wonderfull now, all the hills are covered with it. Say Bee how does Roger look in his air cloth. Say I also got a letter from Mike Creig from Nine Mile Brook Towes (?) Bathurst Mines. Ah yes, I got Lucy's letter. Ah, say Bee Lucy's letter is No 6. Well the last letter I got before this one was No. 3 so no 4. 5. is to come yet. Oh they told me today I could go to Ireland. If I can I shall go. Well some of the boys come home today off leave. They say London is nice. Well we are having the rainy season here now. I was to mass Sunday at Buley. I was to communion. I am getting some snaps next week. I will send some. I have sent a lot of post cards did you get them? I have a lot more to send. I got the papers. I sent some news papers. Did you get them? I am sending more papers.
