Dear Mother:

I think this is my third letter to you since I have been here. I haven't had any mail yet except one from Francis which was addressed to Lachine and forwarded to here.
So far the course here seems to be easier than at Moncton although there is a lot more theory

work. We started in Monday and started from scratch again. We are having our first exam tomorrow afternoon an oral test. They have a different method alltogether of teaching up here, first they gave us typewritten notes with about three hundred questions and another set of notes on the work we have to do during the week. On the test we are liable to be asked any of the questions which were all answered in the

notes. As far as the practical work goes we are each set at a certain job for a certain length of time and at the end of that time we have to have our work finished and then we are assessed on it.
There is a big dance out here Saturday night on the station, our tickets cost 10ยข apiece. On July 16th Mark Kenny's orchestra is to play here and on the 21ST there is another big act, a

magician and hypnotist and besides we have three free moving pictures per week so you see we have lots of entertainment. Its a good thing too because the only places to go outside of the station at nights are Port Stanley and St. Thomas which are very small towns with populations not much over a thousand. The people detest the airforce for some reason or other up here.
Will you send me up my red bathing suit if

you can find it. There is lots of swimming and I have no trunks. Tell Anna that I will answer her letter tomorrow which I should have done long ago but I just didn't get around to it.
This is all there is to say for this time
Love to all
James.
