Received your letter no 30. written 11th Jan. thair is a lot of letters to come yet you know mail is all mixed up now. But it will all come if it hasent went down I got the two lost parcels ok the light sockets and Tea Bags chicken candy and Bars and Cracker Jacks They were swell and the choclats were swell I have some yet I liked them say Lucy I have a nice Bead lamp maid it is swell to read by. Well I am glad Patty Anna got her doll safe she must be a sweet little Girl. I suppose Bobby is up often to see her. Do you have her down at all. I am glad yous herd me I am going to speak

From the Beaver Club when I go to London. Say Major Williams spoke nice diden he on that Broad cast. Lucy I had a lot to say But I all filled up and coulden say a Thing. I was sad all day before and we diden know only just a few hours before we spoke. Say I hope you get all the little things I sent it is hard to get anything here now. I am sending more 3 pence pieces. I sent them to see if they would go oh yes I hear from Henrick every time he is in port He was Laying at Anchor at Cape Flow Xmas day he told me I am going to meet him this summer in glasgo he is on the Picfic Run this winter This summer he will be on the Atlantic Run then yous will see him

Say Lucy I sent Mamma a cable Xmas did she get it nearly all of us sent one Xmas time I sent mine about 10 before Xmas ask at the office in town about it. Have you seen Guss Stout or Miss Emma They sent me a nice Box for xmas you must Thank them for sending it to me I worte them and sent them a cable of thanks well I got Annas letter also this week it was written Jan 19th oh you never say what James is doing at the mill How is Sidney. The flash light is swell I like it for it is dark erly and Late in the mornings say the Chisem Girl diden

get your letter yet I saw the Boy yesterday well the Big Bommer and fighters are flighin high to night we always feel safe when they are overhead My But they are Big Lucy I am going to Ireland on my next leave if I can make it I am just dying to get thair to see the old Land of St Patrick I may go on the 17th If I can it would be nice that day thair Well Lucy just now I been thinking about London I diden like it But one should it is a swell Place of corse like Boston or New York it is difference The Buildings are not so high But it is nice to see I suppose I have see what you will never see I wish you could see this old world like I have seen it

We have seen many a dark day and Many a Bright one But we are all well and Happy. I
Havn't found Mrs. Hoggarty or at Least Mrs Bird But I am lookin her up now. I expect word this week if she is alive I can find her. Manchester was Blitzed Terribl. The Police is lookin he up. Say I am glad Mamma wrote the Mackays at Ediinbough for they were afel good to me and gave me a good time I was Right at Home thair I haven't herd from them since Xmas.
