Dear Mom:
Your last letter arrived about a week ago along with one from Lucy which contained the card she sent me. That was the only mail Ive had in almost a month not counting Frances' mail and even hers seems awfully slow. I had three letters from her in one day four days ago the first for two weeks. I wish mail would speed up a little more beause its awful waiting for mail that hardly ever

arrives. Its been ages since Ive had any parcels or cigs. They have a new system now of sending us cigs which is supposed to be practicaly theft proof. You send in the order as usual but instead of the cigs being addressed to us from Canada they are shipped over here in bulk and then addressed to us. The only catch is that we can only get 300 cigs at a time but you can send as many orders as you wish to. I have about two hundred left which will last about a week so I hope some get here soon.

I haven't had any mail from Dad since I got back but expect a letter tomorrow. things are fairly quiet except for an occasional doodle bug. They are pretty terrifying but you soon take them for granted and so don't mind them much.
My work is still the same and am getting along fine with it. This station I'm on is perhaps better than the others because I can get to London much easier. Its a surprisingly large city. Even Montreal can't be compared

with it. Its not hard to believe that its population is more than all of Canada combined. You can wander for miles and not get anywhere.
The weather is much colder now. Looks like winter is realy setting in. The days are fairly nice but the nights and mornings are cold. It is also raining more often than usual and so the cold and wet makes everything pretty miserable. I don't mind it too much though because we will soon be away from it for good I hope. There is nothing new to write about. I'll write you again this week. Love to everybody Bunny.
