Recived your letter yesterday was glade to receive it I am fine I had a cold but am better now we are haven some wet days this is the Rainy season we are also having winter weather. We have no snow only a little flurry some of the farmers have started ploughing. But they most of it in January February, so it is much different than from home. Oh yes what seems funny they got thair cabbage plants all set out for the spring that will be erly cabbage for the summer. They haven't any barns here they stock all thair hay and oats well James how is hay selling now and did you

sell all you had this spring has uncil Alex the horses this winter and how many cattle are you keepen this winter. How is the old Barn. Did you get it fixed up for the winter I suppose it will be quite cold. Well James how are the boys getting on at school. How is Mamma. I want you to stay with her until I get home again with a job at the mill I hope you will get you can help so much at home for your mother needs you. Well James I have been to Sterling and at the castle I have sent a little book a breaf history of the castle all I could get. I saw whair the Big Battle was fough at Sterling Bridge and at Place the Battle of Banick Buern was fought. Oh you will come after this is finished and see it you will have to come and visit the Fraisers. They are lovely People. They have two lovely Boys Willy and Simond. James here is a few 3 pence pieces. When they are all put together they make a nice Braclet for your wrist
