Dear Anna recived your letter to day was so glade to here from you well Anna I am well only I have a sore sholder. But I work every day I was to mass yesterday I walked 6 miles well it is a nice little place the priest is a old man 87 years old he is a Fr Grant from the Highlands well Anna the boys ware kilts here I am going to get a pair for Bobby that if I can send them ask him if he would ware them. They are cute I know Bobby would look good in them well the boys never cover thair knees here even in the winter well the people are afel nice to us when you go in a house they want to give you a sip of Tea. Well Anna. I wrote to you and Lucy and told you all about

Edinborgh. Well the country is lovely the hills the Heathers you could have to see it Anna if ever I get back again I will have a lot to tell Anna the wonderful flowers and the Holly trees. I will try and send yous some Heather and Holly for Xmas oh all the Boys from Bathurst are here they are all fine Anna has Donal Doucett home we left him in Quebec he was to be Boarded out his lungs were bad Well Anna I am getting some pictures and I well send you one perhaps next time I sent Bobby one last week Anna when you wright number your letters start from now on at no 1 so I will know if any are lost or go astray oh yes send me a couple of the snaps of you all the one Roger is in I am getting some snaps taken soon who is cook on the nipg

this summer. Well Anna. Hubart was with me all the way over he went ashore ahead of me he went in the evening I landed nex morning we had a good trip I was sea sick But got Better after I was out 5 days. After it got Real Rough I got Better. I had a lovely state room Well Anna. Tell Mr Loosen I am a sailor now (ha ha) some of our Boys saw Philiph Loosen a few week ago. Mickey Gilmore was up from London to see us he has growen a lot I scarsely knew him. Sargent Fletcher from New Castle from 15 Coy saw one of Wills boys in London. Say you never spoke of the Boys only Roger. What is James doing now Anna wright often don't wait for a answer wright once a week for it takes a letter so long to come

Let me know if you get the HandKchfs I sent you from Edinburgh. And the post cards Anna after this Battle for Fredom is over yous will have to come and see this wonderfull old. World. You cant emagon how Beautyfull it is We see a odd Jerry aloft. I here one now. It isn't dark here until 12 oclock. We are 6 hours faster that yous are. Oh yes you shold see the stars here the plow and dipper are so much Bigger than at home I gess we are nearer it. Oh Anna I am wrighten all the Boys are asleep thair is the cooks and Bat men Room together 3 Bat men the Rest cooks 12 here all togother I cook for the officers now Mr Allen is well Henry Cristy is Mr Allans Bat man

Well Anna I have lots to eat we get coffee and coco Tea no coffey for the men I have my coffee yet I well keep it for harder days. I hope they never come you may light a candle or say a prair for me some time for we are in grate danger. But god is good. Well if I get back home I shall never grumble again.
