Dear Lucy

Received your letter today Well it must been a surprise to see Aunt Mary this time of the year. Well Lucy we are here at Valcartier our passes have been cancelled for a furlo We may move next week so they say if we do it will be to Debert N.S. We are here just waiting for the boys to come back from furlo all the fellows from Bathurst were home this 14 days Say Bea how was Henry. When does he expect to come again. Well I got some snaps taken today I will send some next letter say Bunny has good long (note - missing part of letter in scanning)

This place here is like a little town all huts each hut holds about 150 men and one cook house feeds 400 men. Two company we have 15 and 13 company. 13 is from Nova Scotia the huts are all numbered ours is 423.424.425 the huts are all alike in rows and streets something like the bunglows at the pulp mill. Well Lucy if we move I will let you know the day we pass home so some of you can be their we will be on the advance party. Well I will say good by, love to all from your father.
