Dear Mr. Hennessy,

I've been meaning to writ eyou a few times ever since Mrs. Munro in Ayr sent on your air mail, but time seems to be the most scarce thing around especially when there's a baby in the house.
I don't know whether Nana (Mrs. Munro) told you or not that William's Mum took a very se?? shock last May. It was touch and go for a few days but she pulled through wonderfully & after 3 months in Raigmore Hospital she was allowed home. She's not able to do very much at all & she's lost quite a lot of the power in her right hand.
Simon got married 2 weeks after Mam Fraser took the shock & as

all the arrangements for the wedding were made & Mam Fraser out of danger, there wasn't any sense to postpone the wedding as was at one time though.
William & I haven't settled down at all since we came home in 1959 & we are just setting the wheels in motion for our return to Vancouver next March. We just haven't got out of the bit & the country is in a mess & the weather's a degree worse!!
We'll be sorry to leave in many ways but once you've tasted Canadian life it's pretty hard to accept any other.
Our little girl Beverley will soon be 8 months old. She's growing like a mushroom & her teeth are coming in quickly too. So far we haven't had any sleepless nights (thank goodness) due to teething trouble

& heres hoping it continues that way.
William is working for Dryden & Exide Batteries now. He's working late this evening as theres been such a rush on new batteries & antifreeze with the sudden cold snap. Inverness hasn't been too bafdly hit by the storm but Aberdeenshire is practically isolated with drifts of up to 12 ft on some main roads & thats bad for this country.
Well I see space is running out & I'll have to stop. I promised Mam Fraser I'd drop you a line or two & let you know that you are all often in her thoughts. I'm sorry we weren't able to make N.B. on our way home but you never know, one of these days we'll maybe manage it.
Kindest regards to all of you from all of us here. We'd like to hear from you when you've a moment to spare. Yours very sincerely
Maureen Fraser
