My Dear Pat –
I am conscience-striken – at Christmass when your card arrived I said to Mrs. Gibb now I must really write to Pat and this morning your calendar arrived to accuse me of a broken resolution I like this calendar because it has fine big numbers Thank you v. much Pat for again remembering me

I might have and could have stayed a bit longer but decided it was time and gave in – the years were beginning to tell. On July of this year I will celebrate my golden jublee so I have given the church quite a lot of service. I am very happy in my retirement I have made one of my rooms into a little church so I am able to say my Mass every morning & have lots of friends in the City and Blairs College is only 10 minutes away by car. So we aren’t allowed to feel lonely

You will see I have changed y address – Last Sept. & decided that the good folks of Eskadale had had enough of me so I retired from a church service and came to live here – Mrs Gibb is, of course – with me and I have a nice Bungalow in the country just 7 miles from the city of Aberdeen noo,000.- Caonel Maul- Beauly retired at the sme time and he has gone to live in Buckie - /Caun McKenzie Inverness took over at Beauly and Fr. Fraser (born near Beaufort Castle) was sent to Eskadale

Apart from the ackes and pains of old age we keep in good health and are able to get around quite comfortably. We are not far from the sea and the rain-fall is much less than that of the west. I had a card from Clie La Violettes at Christmas but no news of any kind I wonder how they are getting on. In Dec. I heard that Donnie Fraser hadn’t been keeping too well – lots of changes of it can occur in a short time I trust Mrs Hennessy and the family keep well and that the news from Nonooy is good All of the best Dear Pat and Happy memories of the old days.

Yours Sincerely
Father Geddes
