My Dear Pat,

How pleased we all were to get your welcome letter as we have often spoken about you wondered what you were doing. Ian was really quite excited about your letter & when Alex came in he ran out shouting Dad, Dad we got a letter from Uncle Pat in Canada. So glad to hear you were well & all at home. We are in our usual here & Alex is keeping well just now which makes such a difference. Sandy is grand & as wild as Ian so now you know what kind of home we have when they get together

We hope to go to Bonnyow for Easter. Ian, Sandy & I as Mam & Dad were asking if Ian was coming this year. Remember he went by himself last year & had a good time among the hills. Mam & Dad are very well & Murdo was going into his new home on Sat. You know don't you that they got the house beside old Granees at the back of the wood. So Murd has been busy preparing it since weeks. I had a letter from Mam & Dad on Sat. It was my birthday & I got some lovely eggs. Oh they are so good besides the ones we get in the shops. We fairly
