Dear Mother:

On this new shift I don't seem to have as much time for writing as on the old one. I don't get in until four in the mornings and I sleep until one or two oclock. After I get some of my studying done there isn't much time left. However I'll find more time after this because we are going to work on a new shift, from one o'clock in the afternoon until ten oclock at night, staring monday 12th.

sent yesterday. Has Sydney received any more word about his mother?
I find that the work in the night class is much more interesting than in the other two classes. Its mostly about electricity. We are also learning soldering and more about riveting. The time is passing awfully fast. I can hardly believe that a week has already gone by.
